Digital cameras such as the Olympus Camedia C-4000 Zoom give the lie to the idea that all 'megapixel' cameras are the same. This may be more expensive than some other cameras with the same resolution, but the image quality it produces justifies that.

The C-4000Z benefits from its ancestry in a number of ways, from an effective diopter correction on the optical viewfinder, to more recent improvements such as the shortcuts to the menu system. Like others before it, the C-4000Z provides many workable shooting modes, full control over both the photographic controls and the format used to capture images, all of it packaged in a reasonably compact body.
